Windy spring days often bring in puffy clouds to the Valley. Puffy clouds want you to take pictures of them. It’s true, just ask them.
It was one of those windy, puffy-cloud days yesterday and on my drive home from work I decided to take a little detour. There is a small pull-out that overlooks a portion of the river I live near that offers a nice view on days like this.

In the distance are the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada mountain range. There is still some snow at the peaks that we could see this morning, but now the clouds are blocking the view. However, if you look closely, you can see the shadows the clouds are casting on the hills. I know Montana is called Big Sky Country, but really, I think we give them a little competition for that title here.
