As a child I hated eggplant. Then I grew up and decided I should try them again. Turns out they weren’t too bad after all (this didn’t work with mushrooms, though).
Each year we are bombarded with fruits from our trees and that of my parents. I’ve decided that the best way to “share the love” is to make a variety of treats to pass on to friends and loved ones.
If a fig tree is anywhere near a sidewalk or roadway in Greece, any fruits over the property line is fair game for passers by.
So tell me, does anyone else look at their sourdough starter and yell in a mad scientist type voice “IT’S ALIVE!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!” or is it just me?
This is the very first recipe where I not only created it, I also *get this* … actually wrote it down. Like, with real measurements and everything.
If you are fortunate enough to have a fig tree, you will never starve. Well, at least while the figs are in season.
Imagine not being able to see the words on your screen. Imagine not being able to see anything. Imagine having that all miraculously change. I’m hoping I won’t have to imagine it.
