Gardening

If there is an empty lot in Greece that a garden hose could reach, it won’t be empty for long.  Gardening is like an Olympic sport amongst Greeks.  This is often considered the “man’s domain”, in much the same way that creating the perfect lawn is typically thought of the man’s duty in America.  Just so you know, you won’t find lawns in Greece very often.  If it doesn’t flower, make food, or provide medicine it isn’t worthy of your space and time.  I kind of agree.

Below are links to information about the plants The Old Man and I actually grow, tips and tricks for a healthy garden, lessons learned the hard way, and other useful tidbits.  Don’t forget to check out the “Recipe” section for ways to use your harvests!
